I’ve always called myself a “Personal Trainer” and really because at the core of it that’s what I am. I got certified as a personal trainer and nutritionist from ISSA back in 2020 and since then I have worked with so many amazing people. I have trained couples, mom’s, kids, athletes, elders and really anyone who wanted to better their lives.
But over the last several months I have kind of felt that my passions really lie with women. Women from all walks of life going through all of the things that women have to go through. So over the last little while, I have been studying and taking certification courses to work with women who are going through PCOS, Endometriosis, Eating disorders, Pregnancy, Postpartum, depression, Menopause and Hashimoto.
I understand that a lot of people would tell me that I need to “Niche Down” and learn everything I can about just one of these topics. But I would argue that a woman who struggles with PCOS and finally gets pregnant deserves to have the same well informed trainer through her PCOS Journey as she does through her pregnancy and then through postpartum.
That women deserve to have someone who is knowledgable about all of the things that they could experience. And I understand (Ahh so well) that someone may come to me experiencing one of these things and they might not even know it yet. That my knowledge of all these different topics could be the difference in them seeking a diagnosis earlier.
So with that being said, I’m always going to be the personal trainer from Personal Training with Abbie. That is my brand and I honestly love it so much. But instead of just a personal trainer, I’m a Women’s Health Personal Trainer and I am so freaking proud to be that.
So proud of you friend! Keep up the amazing work it’s an honor to get to watch your journey
Thank you so much <3
